Making Friends in Australia

I have recently been in contact with a class from Australia (you can see their message in the guestbook).  We will be creating classroom videos to send to each other in the next few weeks!  How exciting :-).  Here are a few pictures of the boys: a class photo, learning to surf, making pizza and at a fundraiser raising money for their sponsor family in Tanzania!  I can't wait to get their video.

Digital Storytelling About Landforms

The students just wrapped up a geography unit.  Part of that unit was learning about Earth's landforms.  They experimented with an app called StoryRobe to create digital stories about them.  They learned how to google search images, save the images to the iPad, insert them into their digital story and then record their voices.  The overwhelming response to this activity was positive!  What a great way to teach the kids how they can share their learning with the world!!  Boys and girls you rocked it!!  

We hope you enjoy them and learn a lot!

p.s. Remember this was our first time using this app, so there may be some mistakes :-)
